There are two different models available.

1. Vented Dryers: This model has a hose outlet to let out the damp air that is released during the process of drying the clothes. So, the tumble dryer should be placed in a place where an outlet for the hose is available. If you do not have an outlet to let off the damp air do not think of vented dryers.

2. Condenser Dryers: This model retains the damp air in itself and releases it out after the clothes are dried. The cost of this model of dryers is higher compared to Vented Dryers but can be placed anywhere.

The special features in some dryers have Sensor Models that senses the dryness of the clothes and stops drying the clothes once the clothes are dried as much needed. So one shall not be worried whether the clothes are sufficiently dried are over dried.

Few models do not have sensors and have Timer Models wherein the user has to set the timing as in washing machines of how much time to dry the filled in clothes. While using this model of dryers one has to carefully set the timings of drying because over drying will leave the clothes rough and stiff that will be difficult for ironing. There are different drum capacities in the Tumble Dryers ranging from 3 Kg to 10 Kg. High loading capacity dryers will be time and cost saving. There are several other special features like drying different types of clothes like silk, Woolen and denim that vary according to the models that will be expensive compared to that of the basic model of Tumble Dryers.
