One of the very best things about eBay is that it is a fabulous place to find collectible items, that just a few short years ago, would have been very hard to find.

There are so many different categories within the collectible category on eBay.

It actually looks to be the largest category that they have.

It can be fun to 'challenge' eBay collectibles. "Oh, I bet they don't have scratch 'n sniff stickers..." Yep! They sure do!

Your imagination is the only limit when it comes to shopping on eBay. In addition to the wide selection in the Collectibles and Antique categories there are the Unusual and Oddity categories, where you can find anything from old candy dispensers to haunted shoes. If your collection is of the more traditional style, a stamp collection for example, never fear there is an entire category dedicated to exactly what you're looking for.

A really cool thing about this is that you have a one-stop-shop for filling out and completing your collections. You might be a McDonald's Happy Meal Toy collector.

Ten years ago, acquiring all of the pieces for each collection was a lot harder to do.

You had to call around to all of the different McDonald's and drive around, trying to chase down the whole collection.

And if you missed any pieces, you were pretty much out of luck. Now, you can just head straight to eBay and you will have the complete collection in no time at all!

You can also use eBay for a sounding board for finding out prices. If you want to know the price of anything, you can go dig around on eBay for a while, and get a good feel for the range of prices of any particular item. The auction place is also a really great tool for finding out the most popular items being sold on any given day. Check in on the eBay forums and in the assorted reports that eBay provides periodically to find out the most looked for items.
