Midori Bonsai Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating its members and the general  public in the knowledge and appreciation of BONSAI, the  art of growing and styling miniature trees.

MEMBERS ENJOY a variety of activities, including an Annual Show, Nursery tours,  Auctions and Monthly Lecture / Demonstrations. Members are also eligible to participate in Workshops and Classes.

MEETINGS: Midori Bonsai Club meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at St. Edward's Episcopal Church, located at the intersections  of Union Avenue and Highway 85 in San Jose, California. The meeting  held the first Thursday of each month is traditionally a lecture  / demonstration beginning at 7:30 PM, and the third Thursday meeting is usually a hands-on, workshop activity commencing at  7:00 PM.

HISTORY: Midori  Bonsai Club was organized under a Constitution and Bylaws ratified  on December 31, 1961 by Midori's founders.

PAT GEE FUND: Midori Bonsai Club administers a memorial fund known as the PAT GEE MEMORIAL EDUCATION FUND. The goal of this fund is to perpetuate the memory of the late Pat Gee, whose vivacious personality and dedication to bonsai inspired many of us to improve  our knowledge and general practice of the art of bonsai. The Fund contributes to the community through the administration of grants in support of club projects of an educational nature.  Pat Gee originally designed the Midori Bonsai Club Logo that appears at the top of this page.
